Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport Hanoi. Transfer from Airport to Hanoi and Hotel check in.
Afternoon City tour to some of the most interesting places, like Temple of Literature, One pole Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake. Afterwards you will have some free time.
Around 18:00 pm we will meet for the first great pre/post lube at the run site where the Hanoi "Pussy Hash" will set a sub urban Hanoi city run followed by an ON ON in one of our great Bia Hoi's.
Day 2, Wednesday, July 7th
The morning is free. However, the Hash will organize a city tour with "Cyclo Taxi" and explore the old Quarter of Hanoi with the Dong Xuan market and one of the many Pagodas around the city.
For those who don't like the Cyclo tour, go shopping in one of the new shopping malls in the center of Hanoi, or just relax and get a massage in one of the many places around Hanoi.
At 1:30 pm we will meet at the hotel from where the buses start to the run site where we run with the Hanoi Hash House Harriers. The bus ride takes around one and a half hour along the many rice fields. We will run in hilly countryside where you will see farmers in paddy fields and villages which will bring you 100 years back in time. After the famous Hanoi Hash Circle the bus will go directly to the ON ON party back in Hanoi.
Day 3, Thursday July 8th
At 9 AM we will make our trip to Mai Chau which is around 130 KM southwest of Hanoi. Mai Chau is an ethnic Thai village. The accommodations are in Thai "Stilt Houses" and are very basic. Afternoon around 3 pm will be another great run in this mountain terrain area. A great Hash Bash in a Grotto close to the village will round up our day.
Day 4, Friday, July 9th
After breakfast there is still some time for wandering or shopping in the village, or just enjoying another breakfast beer. On our way back to Hanoi we will run at the "Sterling Falls"! Lunch will be served at V-Resort and in the afternoon we will stay there and use the swimming pool. Then back to Hanoi and have dinner at a Bia Hoi in Hanoi. A trip to Hanoi is never complete without a visit to one of the many Bia Hois. The rest of the evening is free and you can enjoy shopping, massage or whatever makes you happy.
Day 5, Saturday, July 10th
Around 8 am we leave for Halong Bay. By around 11 am we will be boarding our cruise liner where we will spend the next 12 hours cruising the famous Halong Bay. Beside visiting caves and sea gypsies, kayaking and swimming we will have an evening beach party with BBQ.
